Terms of sale and license

1. The app

Carpathron Remote lets one computer view and control another, transfer files, chat, call and open SSH terminals. You may only connect to computers you own or whose user lets you access them. Using it to access computers without permission, or for anything illegal, is forbidden and ends your right to use it.

2. Free use

The app is free for personal, non-commercial use with limits: each session up to 20 minutes, up to 2 hours a day, one session at a time, counted on the PC that controls others. Being helped (receiving a connection) is always free and unlimited.

3. Licenses

• Pro: no time limits, unattended access, controls up to 3 computers, for the number of PCs you bought (one seat per PC that controls others).
• Max: everything in Pro, and any number of computers can be controlled.
• A license runs for the period you bought. Plans marked as renewing are PayPal subscriptions: PayPal charges the same price at the start of each new period until you stop the renewal (in your account at /licenses, or in PayPal). Stopping the renewal stops future payments; the license keeps working until its end date.
• You can free a seat and use it on another PC from your account. Sharing a key publicly or with people outside your organisation is not allowed; we may switch off keys that are abused.
• The app checks the license online at least every 3 days; a PC that stays offline longer goes back to the free limits until it is online again.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown before you pay, per PC and per period, in the currency shown; VAT is added where the law requires it. Payment is made through PayPal (PayPal account or card). The license key is sent by email and shown in your account as soon as PayPal confirms the payment. We may change prices for future periods; subscribers are told by email at least 30 days before a renewal at a new price.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

See the refund policy. In short: consumers in the EU and UK have 14 days to withdraw, but by asking for immediate delivery you agree that this right ends once the key is activated on a PC. If the key was not activated yet, or the app does not work for you because of a fault we cannot fix, we refund you.

6. Microsoft Store

The app in the Microsoft Store is free to install. Licenses are sold only on qubitpage.com and qubitpage.ro, by QUBIT PAGE LIMITED, not by Microsoft; Microsoft is not responsible for them.

7. Availability

We work to keep the relay and the license service available all the time, but we cannot promise that they will never be interrupted (maintenance, internet problems, events outside our control). Direct connections between computers can work even when our relay is busy.

8. Liability

The app is provided as it is, with professional care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost data or lost profit, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have by law.

9. Intellectual property

The app and its code remain the property of QUBIT PAGE LIMITED. A license gives you the right to use it; it does not allow you to copy, resell, decompile or change it, except where the law allows.

10. Ending

You can stop using the app any time. We may end a license that is used against these terms; when we end it for other reasons, we refund the unused part.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law that applies to QUBIT PAGE LIMITED. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can also bring a claim in the courts of that country. Please write to contact@qubitpage.com first: we answer within 14 days and try to solve every problem directly.
