This set, along with the tracks & accessories were made around the 1970’s to 1980’s. The trains itself are all Tyco, but the track & accessories are from various manufacturers (Tyco, Bachmann, Life-Like, etc.). This is what you get in this auction: 1 ea. Tyco NON-Power Torque (MU2 powered, part #235) Alco Century 430 decorated in ATSF Warbonnet passenger scheme, road #4301. Made in Hong Kong. Has a few minor scratches throughout the shell, but overall in great condition. 1 horn is missing & 1 horn cracked. Engine has been serviced & runs good. Has a mild stutter & stalls at times when it runs but for its age, is very good (keeping the brass wheels clean helps to ensure smoother running). Runs forward & reverse. The headlight does not work & is missing the handrails. Equipped with horn-hook couplers. 3 ea. box cars (2 ea. 50′ plug door & 1 ea. 62′ express reefer) decorated for the following: Popsicle, part #360F (white), Old Dutch, part #365G (yellow) & Mail Pouch, part #374A (red). All are in good shape but missing their brake wheels. No missing stirrups except for 1 missing on Popsicle boxcar. Has wear & minor scratches from storage & use. All made in Hong Kong & are equipped with horn-hook couplers. 1 ea. streamlined cupola caboose part #327-22 decorated for Santa Fe road #7240 & molded in red plastic with white lettering. Missing rooftop smokejack. Equipped with horn-hook couplers. Unknown country of origin. 1 ea. Hong Kong made Tyco 18” Radius Curved Brass Terminal Rerailer Track & w/2 ea. rail joiners on track & wiring attached. 9 ea. Austria, Hong Kong & Yugoslavian made Tyco, Life-Like & unbranded* 9” Straight Brass Track w/2 ea. rail joiners on each track. 22 ea. Austria, China, Hong Kong & Yugoslavian made Tyco, Bachmann, Life-Like & unbranded* 18” Radius Curved Brass Track w/2 ea. rail joiners on each track. 2 ea. Hong Kong made Life Like Brass switches (1 LH, 1 RH) w/included 3 1/4″ length 18″ radius curved track & switch controls (untested & no wires included). Includes 3 rail joiners on each switch & 2 ea on short curved tracks. 2 ea. unbranded Brass 3 3/4″ length bumper tracks. Includes 1 rail joiner on each bumper. Unknown country of origin. 1 set 10 pc. telephone poles in plastic bag. Possible Bachmann or Life-Like. Unknown country of origin. 1 ea. Truck/Trailer Terminal platform (Part #901) by Tyco, made in Hong Kong. Sign post ends are broken off. NOT included: “Truck Terminal” cardboard signs, truck tractors, Santa Fe trailers & ATSF flat car. 1 set 33 pc. Bridge & Trestle set (Part #909) by Tyco, made in Hong Kong w/instructions. *Track included is a mix of original Tyco, Bachmann, Life-Like and equivalent brass track (possibly Mehano). Track is vintage/used & will require cleaning using a track cleaner/eraser (not included). Some track may have cracked or missing plastic ties, which is normal for this age/type of track, but all are still very much usable. There is more than enough track here for an over & under figure-8 layout w/sidings. **ALSO NOT INCLUDED in this auction are as follows: power pack, wiring, original packaging & paperwork. A great train set for the beginner railroader or for your HO scale collection. Be advised. These are not toys but hobby quality items. Treat these items with care & they will bring a lifetime of enjoyment. Track ends are sharp & rail joiners are possible choking hazards. It is recommended that children below 14 years of age have competent adult supervision in the assembly & use of this equipment.
