This rare Antique Glass Bottle: – is a well modeled statue of Jesus, wearing a long gown robe, hand on chest displaying the SACRED HEART; – is mold formed pressed glass, well modeled in deep relief with very good design and detail, and is clear in color; – is marked in relief on the front outside base “SACRE COUER DE JESUS”, and on the lower rear outside BONBONS JOHN TAVERNIER Les Meilleurs”; – was created by glass manufacturer Legras & Cie Paris Cristallerie, Saint Denis, France, as a bon bon chocolates container for candy manufacturer John Tavernier in Paris; – is missing the original tin lid from the underside base. Dimensions: 16.4 In. Tall x 5.5 In. Wide x 4.6 In. Deep Weight: 2 Lbs., 5.0 Oz. The estimated date is circa 1896. This Antique Glass Antique Glass SACRE COUER SACRED HEART Glass Bottle Bonbonniere by Legras is in good condition- there is a bit of staining on the inside, and the is roughness around the base rim. Otherwise, condition status includes minimal normal wear and rubbing. Overall, this work is sound, having no other chips, cracks, or major defects, and having had no apparent repairs or restorations.
