On offer is a wonderful and rare Ladies Rolex Precision Swiss reference 9631 Manual wind circa ‘1962’ stainless steel watch from horology’s most famous name. Housed in a Rolex signed case – Serial numbered 814**** dating the watch to ‘1962’ on the Rolex date register. The light silvered dial has wonderful patina and features ‘Explorer’ style indexes and signed ‘Rolex Swiss’. Powered by the much sought after Rolex signed 17 jewelled Precision movement which has been recently serviced by a Rolex specialist watchmaker with no issues to report, keeping accurate time and in superb running order. Ready to enjoy! This highlights one of the brand's many strengths — aesthetic and technical innovation within a framework — as demonstrated best by the current Submariner, GMT Master, and Daytona. Modern Day Dates and Datejusts are a bit of a different story, with their continually strict adherence to the designs that came before them. A practical, timepiece to use for evening wear, on a regular basis, as you so wish. Has a unique Rolex signed dial, housed in an oyster case retaining the original Rolex signed crown. Fitted good quality new leather strap band which cements the look on your wrist! The Original Dial: The dial is signed Rolex below ‘12’ with Swiss at the very bottom. This is a unique dial with patina. Carries raised arrow indexes with unique Arabic numerals to the quarters (Explorer style). Steel hour and minute ‘Dauphine’ style hands set the dial beautifully. Dial has some marks commensurate with age and wear. Please see photos. Original Crystal: Good condition Original Movement: Rolex went to considerable trouble and expense to ensure its small Calibre movements performed equally as well as its larger gents movements, and they succeeded! These are indeed high precision movements and the example here is running very well, having been calibrated to run consistently accurate. This is truly outstanding for any mechanical watch and it is no exaggeration – The high grade 17 jewel hand-wound Precision movement is in incredibly clean and sparkling condition and has been serviced by a Rolex specialist watchmaker with no issues to report, keeping accurate time. This particular movement is in beautiful condition and with similar care and regular servicing, say every 3 to 4 years, one can expect this watch to continue to run very happily for many more decades to come! Original Case: The Oyster case is of a very solid two-piece design with a wonderful plain bezel to improve water and dust resistance. The down turned lugs are unique in design. Steel case measures 20mm excluding the crown. Has surface has surface scratches all over associated with base polished metals commensurate with age and wear. Case Back Cover Outer: The snap case-back indicating it is a nice tight fit and is of full thickness – Rolex coronet engraving with serial number 814**** dating to 1962 on the Rolex date register. Has surface scratches associated with base polished metals commensurate with age and wear. Case Back Cover Inner: Inside the case-back is signed Acier Inoxydable Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland 9631. In Good condition. Original Crown/Winder: The crown is signed with the Rolex coronet. These were expensive watches at the time, because it was much more difficult to produce the much smaller diameter ladies Rolex movements, to the same required levels of accuracy and reliability as the movements in the larger gents watches.
