Some pads have been changed, the wood has been oiled several times and it has been thoroughly checked. It plays beautifully.Brand: Henri SelmerMarked: Export • Henri Selmer • Paris • Series 9*.Series 9* clarinets are known for their rich tone and exceptional responsiveness.Mouthpiece is marked: Henri Selmer Paris HS* [HS Single Star is from the 1960s.]Four other parts (barrel, barrel, upper joint and lower joint) are marked “Henri Selmer Paris.” The bell is marked: “Henri Selmer Paris • Selmer Elkhart New York” and several other letters that I can’t make out.Material: The wood is Grenadilla — African Blackwood aka M’Pingo aka Grenadilla (the trade name), a dense, resinous wood which like ebony is used for making professional wind instruments.Condition: This recent restoration of this clarinet includes the following: Careful oiling of the wood. Replacing the pads. Checking the cork bands and tightening the rings. · There are no cracks in the wood and all pieces are secure.· The interior of case shows some stains and wear but has no holes. The exterior of the case and the zipper are in good shape.· The buyer will receive all items that are shown in the photos.Will be sent with insurance and with signature confirmation upon delivery, or a note will be left and with ID you can pick up the package at the post office.
