Up for sale is a precision cut purple mirror acrylic 7 string Universe Pickguard. HSH Configuration. About .118″ thick. All of my mirror acrylic guards come stock with an attractive, contemporary, 90 degree edge around the perimeter. WARNING- RETURNS OR EXCHANGES NOT ACCEPTED- PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE PURCHASING. BY PURCHASING THIS ITEM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE ITEM DESCRIPTION AND AGREE TO ALL TERMS. ATTENTION- MUST READ These are cut to classic, early Japanese factory Universe specification (FACT- THERE ARE MULTIPLE JAPANESE PATTERN GUARDS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE OVER THE COURSE OF THE UV PRODUCTION YEARS). It will fit most (not all) of the original square heel UV variants, and a small amount of the early UV AANJ variants. If you have a later AANJ variant, I may have something available in my library that might fit, but this is a discussion we need to have before you make a purchase. No matter what model Universe you have, Before purchasing, please send me a straight forward picture of your actual guitar with the original pickguard on it, and a picture of the back of the headstock. The more pictures, the better. I can usually tell from the pictures if you are going to be in the right ballpark or not in terms of fitment. Do not send me a picture off Google or off the IBZ website, this will be a waste of your time because it won’t tell me what you actually possess. If you purchase this guard without sending me any pictures or information about your guitar and are willing to gamble on being stuck with a guard that might not fit your guitar, I will send you the stock , genuine original Japanese IBZ configuration. If you do choose to purchase without messaging me beforehand, 1) you acknowledge that you understand that the guard will likely not fit your guitar without extensive modifications, or may not fit at all, 2) you will not complain or to me or trash my feedback about the fit, and 3) you understand that it is 100% non-returnable or exchangeable. I apologize if this policy may at face-value seem a little terse or unfriendly, but to keep prices in a reasonable ballpark this must be in place. I understand if my policy may lead to seek another vendor, which is completely fine, but if they do not issue these warnings about fitment (and many do not), you should proceed with caution. If you wish for this policy to change, please contact the manufacturer of your guitar and kindly ask them to stop incorporating planned obsolescence into their designs, and actually standardize the key components. If you were to contact IBZ for a replacement guard and require a perfect fit, see if they will guarantee it- They likely will not, which should tell you a lot about the lack of standardization with these guitars. If you do not want to gamble on being stuck with a guard that might not fit your guitar, I have precision cardstock proof cuts available HERE. I have available for purchase, precision cardstock proof cuts. These will match the guard you would receive if you choose to invest in the real deal with me. The cost for the proof cut is cheap insurance so you do not get stuck with a guard that does not fit your guitar. Yes, it will add cost and time, but will remove all doubt on what you will receive. I have been working with these guitars for over 20 years at this point. If you happen to be an expert, and disagree with what I have written above, send me a resume!
