eBay You are bidding on a Pair of Brand New Southwest Speed Flat Black Long Tube Headers that fits 1964-1988 Chevy Passenger Cars with Small Block Chevy 262-400ci Engines (SWS Part #440-2219). These Southwest Speed long tube headers are a direct fit for 1964-1989 Chevy passenger cars with Small Block Chevy V-8 engines, and will work with both automatic & manual transmissions. These headers are a chassis header and are meant to go inside of the frame rails on 1964-1989 Chevrolet Chassis. The collectors exit toward the rear of the engine compartment and are well above the under carriage of the vehicle, eliminating the chance of the collectors contacting the ground. The unique design of the collector location makes these headers a great choice for many GM passenger cars that include: 1965-1989 Impala, Caprice, Bel Air, & Biscayne, 1967-1981 Camaro, 1964-1987 Chevelle, Malibu, & El Camino, 1970-1987 Monte Carlo, and the 1968-1979 Nova. Supplied with 1 5/8″ tubes with 3″ collectors, and comes complete with header bolts and gaskets and reducer bolts and gaskets. Features .300″ Ground parallel flanges on the cylinder head surface, and includes a pair of 3″ to 2 1/2″ reducers to complete the installation. These Headers will fit angle plug or straight plug head applications including factory Chevrolet “Bow-Tie” Heads. Will fit Detroit Speed & Engineering front subframes with rack and pinion steering. 9. These headers are a chassis header and are meant to go inside of the frame rails on the 1964-1989 Chevrolet chassis. 10. Models with the Alternator mounted on the left side may require Southwest Speed #410-5760 & #410-5761 mounting brackets. Paint Warning: These headers are painted with a high heat dull black paint. It will generally dull even more when the engine is started. The header paint will smoke and let off an odor the first few times the engine is up to temperature and the black finish will become duller turning closer to gray in color. If exhaust temperatures are extreme at start the paint will blister and peel. There is no warranty on header paint. Header Return Policy: In the event you order a header that will not fit your vehicle and application, you may return them for a refund, providing you don’t damage the header. When you receive the header the finish will be protected and must remain unscratched for a refund. If you bend or dimple any of the tubes or scratch the finish, we will not be able to sell the header and will not be able to process a refund. Use care when trial fitting headers. Repack them well to prevent damage returning them to us. We won’t process refunds for scratched, dimpled, dented, or bent headers.
