Air Force: F-16, No 312 Sqn (75th Anniversary) Ref: Set No.98 Scale: 1/72 Decals: The sheet, covers two types of Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft, as described above, and a 75th Anniversary Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLU) General Dynamics (built by Fokker under license) F-16A Fighting Falcon. Contains decals for four RAF Panavia Tornado aircraft, two F.3’s serving with 11 Squadron (Sqn), a F.3T serving with 23 Sqn, a F.2 serving with the Tornado Operational Evaluation Unit (TOEU) and a F.2 serving with the Empire Test Pilots School (ETPS), a RAF BAC Jaguar GR.1A serving with 2 Sqn in a 76th Anniversary scheme and a RNeAF F-16A serving with 312 Sqn in a very striking 75th Anniversary scheme. Includes codes and serial numbers for all the aircraft types, 2 Sqn Jaguar aircraft 76th Anniversary scheme markings in the form of Black bars incorporating White geometric markings for the air intake and tail surfaces, the later set between White small 1912 = 1988 titles, and large 2 Sqn crests for the Black painted tail surface, 11 Sqn Tornado aircraft markings in the form of roundel bars and large paired Black “Eagles” edged in Gold, based on the 11 Sqn crest centre, for the tail surfaces, 23 Sqn Tornado aircraft markings in the form of Roundel Blue and Red chevrons incorporating the fuselage roundels and Red “Eagles”, based on the 23 Sqn crest centre, for the tail surfaces, ETPS Tornado aircraft markings in the form of half White and half Roundel Blue darts edged in Red incorporating the fuselage roundels under which are small Black EMPIRE TEST PILOTS SCHOOL titles and ETPS unit badges for the tail surfaces, TOEU Tornado aircraft markings in the form of TOEU unit badges for the tail surfaces, pilot and co-pilot names, Wing Commander (Wg Cdr) pennants, RNeAF F-16 75th Anniversary aircraft markings in the form of four part Red, White and Blue stripes which extend from a point on the nose to a “swoosh” across the tail surfaces meeting the Orange KLu 75 titles in located within thin Red, White and Blue stripes which make up the numbers in the titles on the tail surfaces, Red. White and Blue bands for the upper and lower wing and horizontal stabilizer tips, 312 Sqn crests and Black 1913-1988 titles, data/stencils for all three aircraft types including instrument panels for the Tornado and F-16, Dutch roundels, a set of lo vis roundels and fin flashes for a RAF Tornado and fin flashes for the RAF Jaguar tail surfaces. There are sufficient decals to complete one of the five Tornado’s using kit data/stencils, the Jaguar using kit roundels and the RNeAF F-16 in full. All five Tornados are finished in Barley Grey uppers over Light Aircraft Grey lowers, the 11 Sqn Wg Cdr’s F.3 has Black tail surfaces over which are placed the 11 Sqn “Eagles”, which are supplied as decals on the sheet. The RAF Jaguar is finished in a wrap around scheme of matt Dark Green and matt Dark Sea Grey, with the Black tail surfaces, which forms the base for the 76th Anniversary scheme on which the large 2 Sqn crests, which are supplied as decals, are placed. The RNeAF F-16 is finished in the standard F-16 scheme of FS 36118 Medium Gunship Grey, FS 36270 Medium Grey and FS 36375 Light Grey, with a FS26270 Grey radomes, over which is applied the striking 75th Anniversary scheme as depicted by the decals. Also includes two comprehensive and detailed double sided A4 black and white placement guides showing side, upper and lower profiles as well as images of the aircraft.
