After a considerable tooling investement, we are pleased to offer a precision cut replacement distressed, steampunk style, aluminum pickguard that will fit the standard factory holes for most year (not all- see below) RG550 and Jem 777 guitars (link to printable template below). Will also work great on clones built to proper spec as well as some other front routed RGs. Ships in a rigid cardboard flat. Raw Matte finish-This pickguard has a raw, 120 grit, aluminum oxide blasted surface profile. This surface profile is ideal for custom DIY powder coating, paint, clear coat, epoxy drizzle, Cerakote or simply leave raw to get a quickly aged and worn finish.The finishing possibilities are endless! If you are doing a refinish on your guitar or hardware and want to paint a matching guard without having to invest in the equipment and time for proper surface prep, the grit blasted aluminum is the perfect substrate for customization. You will get maximum paint or powdercoat adhesion with the surface work that has been completed, as well as durability and tonal enhancements that Aluminum provides. Features-Proudly made in the USAMade from .06″ thick, solid aluminum stock, sourced from the USAHas a raw, 120 grit aluminum oxide blasted finish We highly recommend spraying with brake cleaner or wiping down with acetone before any paint or powdercoat is applied IMPORTANT **MUST READ**—> For your convenience we have a printable template that you must use to verify the fit before purchasing the guard. There can be variances on hole placement or irregularities between certain years of this particular model. If you have a collectible guitar that cannot have holes redrilled, or lack the resources to perform simple modifications, it is essential you check this template to your guitar. While we regretfully cannot guarantee that it will fit every single year, we can guarantee the mounting holes on the pickguard you order will match up to the properly printed template. Please print the following picture to check to your guitar to verify the fit (I also have an easier to print PDF available, just message me for access) As an additional warning, the printable template may not tell you the whole story on what you might run into in terms of fitment and hole mounting locations compared to when you try to fit the actual guard. If you are petrified of the fact that rudimentary modifications to your guitar may be required, please message me before purchasing the guard with the type of guitar you have, its country of origin, and a picture of the body. I can usually tell from just a picture of the guitar if you are going to be in the right ballpark in terms of fitment. If I do not get a message, you are agreeing that you are OK with modifying your guitar and understand that mounting hole locations may not match. Pickguard installation is not rocket science, but it is an operation that does require patience, skill and intelligence. SHIPPING——->>>>>>Please allow up to 5 business days for the guard to ship out. A business day is Monday-Friday and does not include weekends or holidays. Please note that the 5 business days is not included in shipping time. Domestic shipping can take anywhere from 2-10 business (estimated) days. Average delivery time in the US is 3 business days.International shipping- Estimated delivery time with USPS is 5-30 business days (average delivery time is 10 business days but this can vary.) These delivery times are completely out of my control and tracking is not always perfect. If you are on a tight schedule, I recommend upgrading to FedEx shipping at checkout. It does cost a little more but the estimated delivery time is 7-15 business days with very reliable tracking.
