For sale is a New/Fresh HIGH QUALITY foam surround kit for Advent woofers with 7.5″ diameter, flat attachment edged type cones as used in the following models: Large AdventOriginal AdventNew Advent as well as others… If you need a surround kit for your speakers and you’re not sure of which kit you need, please click on “Ask a Question” link at the bottom of the page. This kit includes: TWO (2) premium quality polyether foam surrounds, (The best money can buy) detailed “easy to follow” instructions,(written for the first time speaker repair person- for this specific type of driver/surround installation) alignment c.d. and clear drying adhesive. BEWARE OF CHEAP IMITATIONS…… We are proud to sell only premium quality “U.S. manufactured” foam surrounds. Do not be misled by inferior chinese foam surrounds/kits that are currently being sold on the market. These “American Made” foam surrounds are specifically designed to look and work like the original. The surround fits properly and it has a LARGE half roll for long excursions like the OEM foam surround. Using a inferior, small roll replacement surround that doesn’t have these qualities will restrict cone movement and seriously degrade the sound performance of your Advent speakers- wasting your time & money. Do it right the first time…. ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES! This surround kit will fit both the 10″ Advent Masonite fiberboard type woofers with inverted foam as well as the newer metal frame Advent woofers. Both types use the same paper cone that measures 7.5″ in diameter with a small, 3/16″or 1/4″ flat cone attachment edge lip. (where the foam surround is glued on the cone) NOTE: If your cone measures less than 7.5″ and/or doesn’t have a flat attachment lip on the cone, please contact us. We also stock kits for Smaller Advent 9″ (7.125″ diameter cone) 2 & 4 piece kits for Advent 8″ (6.0″ cone) and Advent Legacy woofers. Detailed “easy to follow” installation instructions are included and technical support is available if you need help. You DO NOT have to cut out/remove your original dust caps installing this kit so there is NO risk of accidentally cutting the cone, cutting the wires going to the voice coil/cone or cutting yourself. (NO shimming required!) You DO NOT have to remove the the masonite fiberboard on the older style woofers to install this surround kit. Pictured below is this kit installed on the newer metal frame Advents woofer and the older Advent woofer. The surrounds in the last 3 pictures are installed inverted (concave – half roll hump facing towards the magnet) on the older Advent masonite fiberboard type woofers. “The first replacement surrounds I tried had a small roll. I installed the surrounds and I was disappointed because my Advents never sounded quite right- not the way they use to. I tried these new large roll foam surrounds on my Large Advents and what a difference!Better power handling without the restrictive/straining sound in the low end.
