GENERAL INFORMATION: DEMON WP insecticide is the industry leaders for clean-out of residential and commercial non-food handling areas. In test after test, this product consistently outperforms the competition. In the field, they have reduced—and even eliminated—the problem of callbacks. DEMON WP delivers proven control of a wide range of pests in less than one hour. DESCRIPTION AND USES: Wettable Powder; low odor, long residual insecticide. 4 water-soluble packets per envelope-each envelope yields 2-4 gallons. Long term residual-2-3 months, and is odorless. A gallon usually completely covers a 2000-2500 sq. foot home. It will not stain or cause damage to any painted or varnished surface, plastic, fabric when water applied alone causes no damage. A crack and crevice and/or spot treatment for residual and contact control of: American cockroaches, Oriental cockroaches, Brown Banded cockroaches, Smoky brown cockroaches, Palmetto Bug Roaches, Ants, Spiders, Scorpions, Flies, Hornets, Wasps, Bees, Sow bugs, Pillbugs, Crickets, Silverfish, Firebrats, Millipedes, Centipedes, Sod Web Worms and certain other insects. May be used inside and outside. Authorized by the USDA for use in inedible product areas in federally inspected meat, poultry and egg processing plants. TECHNICAL TIPS: Prior to applying DEMON WP, the pest species should be identified along with the level of infestation. DEMON WP should be applied as a thorough crack and crevice application for effective control. DEMON WP are versatile enough to be used on both porous and nonporous surfaces. If a DEMON WP build-up does occur, it can easily be removed with soap and water. The surface to be sprayed with DEMON WP should be totally dry to prevent running and puddling. MODE OF ACTION: DEMON WP is a wettable powder formulation insecticide, both containing the active ingredient cypermethrin. Cypermethrin is a synthetic version of the natural pyrethrum products found in plants, such as chrysanthemum flowers. Since ancient times, the insect repelling and killing power of certain plants and plant extracts was well known. Pyrethrum products were carried back to Europe with returning crusaders. Earlier in this century, scientists identified the active ingredients in these natural products and set about to improve their efficacy and length of life upon exposure to sunlight. Cypermethrin is considered a second-generation pyrethroid with excellent insecticidal properties. All pyrethroids act on insect pests by affecting their nervous systems, causing muscle spasms, paralysis and death. DEMON WP kill insects by both ingestion and absorption into the surface of the insect. GENERL RESTRICTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS: Extremely toxic to fish. Do not allow applications to contact water inhabited by fish, such as in aquariums and ornamental fish ponds that are located in/around structures being treated. Wet liquid contact with skin may result in transient tingling and reddening of the skin. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Always have dependable equipment to avoid leakage.
