This is a very nice clock in excellent condition with a great looking blue tinted shadowed numbers on porcelain dial and the case is different in that the sides are applied along with some on front. I didn’t like this as much as some of the others at first but it truly is different attractive and runs great. I’ve had that style dial before and they truly aren’t easy to find. I picked up 18 nice clocks last weekend at the Utica NY regional NAWCC convention. The cobalt La Cantal and Treasure Island Banjo are the picks of the litter with this probably 4th. It has I perfect porcelain dial and very minimal crazing. Hopefully the pictures will show it off a bit because this is a beauty and I really like the pattern going up the sides with the butterfly on both sides I like colors but this grows on you. Runs awesome since I made a couple quick and easy adjustments, and the movement looked good for I saw no loose bushings and it has been running strong as it should since. Out of 5 Ansonia’s 2 just needed ultrasonic cleaning and lube and 1 dial replacement. I always will be double check any clock I sell that is not for parts before packing. It features a very already mentioned porcelain case and a excellent condition porcelain dial with original hands and the sort after open escapement. I see no signs of repairs on the case just a little wear on some of the gold gild accent and very low amount of glazing. Some people like glazing some don’t I personally like some to show age but I’ve seen some porcelain that were bad. The movement has the proper number.of strikes on the hour as well as a single on the halve hour and when I had it out was very low wear and has been running nice and strong since purchase last year. The clock has Arabic Numerals and the dial appears to be very much original and has the nice thick beveled original crystal and ornate bezel. I truly haven’t seen this wonderful mix of magenta, yellow, and sky blue that much that I can remember anyway. The clock is in excellent working condition and runs and strikes perfectly. It measures about 12.5″ in height and 14″ in width 4.5 deep with a 5″ dial. It truly is a decorative collectible that would make a great addition to any collection. It was made in nearby Ansonia CT before 1878 or Brooklyn NY after ( so many clock makers along Route 8 and the Naugatuck River) and it truly has a great Victorian look. I go over all my clocks before shipping and make sure I didn’t miss anything and try my best to pack well. Everything goes insured just in case and my items are returnable. Please respect that and it does take a bit of time, I’ve been dealing clocks for over 30 years now, but boxes do occasionally get mishandled.
